ABOUT ADTEC FOOTWEAR
BUILT FOR THE WORK SINCE 1982
At AdTec Footwear, we keep things simple. We make dependable footwear for the people who put it to work every day.
Since 1982, we've focused on building comfortable, durable footwear at a fair price. No gimmicks or overpromising. Just honest footwear made for work, the outdoors, and everyday wear.
We believe good footwear should be reliable, practical, and accessible to the people who depend on it. That mindset has guided us from the beginning and continues to shape everything we make today.
From the warehouse to the worksite, the farm to the field, AdTec footwear is built to keep up with the people wearing it.

OUR STORY: BUILT FROM EXPERIENCE
AdTec, short for Advanced Technology Footwear, started in 1982 with a simple idea: make dependable footwear at a fair price for the people who rely on it every day.
Founders Arnold Duan and Dick Montville brought experience from different sides of the footwear business. Arnold focused on manufacturing and sourcing, while Dick spent years working with retailers throughout the Midwest and learning firsthand what customers expected from their footwear.
They saw the same problem again and again: boots were often too expensive, uncomfortable, or simply didn't hold up. Their answer was straightforward — build practical, dependable footwear at a reasonable price.
From the beginning, AdTec was a family business. Much of the company's early direction came from conversations with farmers, ranchers, retailers, and tradespeople who wore the boots every day and weren't shy about telling us what worked and what didn't.
As AdTec grew, that approach stayed the same: listen to the people wearing our footwear, pay attention to what works, improve what doesn't, and build products people can rely on.
Today, AdTec remains family-owned, with the next generation continuing the business. More than four decades later, the goal hasn't changed much:
Make good footwear. Keep prices fair. Treat people right.
