AdTec Footwear was born from a shared vision: to create durable, high-quality boots that reflect the spirit of American craftsmanship. In 1982, industry veterans Arnold Duan and Dick Montville came together with a common goal, combine expertise in manufacturing and sales to build a footwear brand that delivers uncompromising value to hardworking people across the country.

Arnold brought deep experience in footwear production and global distribution from California. Dick, a trusted sales agency owner in the Midwest, had long represented leading boot brands. Together, they saw an opportunity to raise the standard for work boots; where quality, comfort, and affordability could truly coexist.

From day one, AdTec Footwear was a family-driven endeavor, built on integrity, resilience, and a hands-on approach. Their earliest success came from listening closely to the needs of real workers; farmers, ranchers, and tradespeople who relied on tough, dependable boots to get the job done. The Midwest embraced AdTec for its reliability, and word quickly spread.

As the brand grew, so did its reputation for craftsmanship and innovation. By working directly with manufacturing partners and responding to customer feedback, AdTec developed purpose-built collections like the Urbanite Series, designed with advanced slip-resistant outsoles and enhanced durability for life on and off the job.

Today, AdTec Footwear is a proud, family-owned business with a legacy rooted in hard work; and a future shaped by the next generation.
